Summary

CVE-2023-36814 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Products.CMFCore, the primary framework services for the Zope Content Management Framework. This issue arises due to the use of Python's marshal module in an unchecked input method on `PortalFolder` objects. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability and cause a crash, leading to a denial-of-service situation. All deployments built on top of Products.CMFCore, including popular content management systems like Plone, are at risk. The vulnerability has been addressed in Products.CMFCore version 3.2.
