Summary
CVE-2023-36804 is a Windows GDI (Graphics Device Interface) Elevation of Privilege vulnerability. An attacker who successfully exploits this flaw can elevate their user privileges, potentially gaining full control of an affected system. The vulnerability is located in the way GDI handles certain graphic data. Exploitation requires user interaction, such as opening a specially crafted image file. Microsoft has released a patch to address this issue, and users are strongly encouraged to install it to protect against potential attacks.
