Summary
CVE-2023-36769 is a new vulnerability affecting Microsoft OneNote. Hackers can exploit this spoofing vulnerability to trick users into believing they are opening a legitimate OneNote file, when in fact it is a malicious document. Once the user opens the fraudulent file, the attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information or install malware. Users are advised to exercise caution when opening unverified OneNote files and keep their software up-to-date to protect against this threat.
