Summary

CVE-2023-36755 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting multiple RUGGEDCOM device models, including ROX MX5000, ROX RX1400, and others. The issue lies in the web interface of these devices, where the SCEP CA Certificate Name parameter is susceptible to command injection due to insufficient server-side input validation. An authenticated, privileged remote attacker can exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code with root privileges. It is recommended that users update their devices to the V2.16.0 version or above as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
