Summary

CVE-2023-36742 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Visual Studio Code. This issue permits remote code execution, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code on a victim's machine by tricking them into opening a maliciously crafted file. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker could install programs, view, modify, or delete data, and create new accounts with full user rights.
