Summary

CVE-2023-36649 is a vulnerability affecting ProLion CryptoSpike 3.0.15P2. This issue enables remote attackers to impersonate other users in the web management interface and REST API of the system. The attacker can accomplish this by inserting sensitive information into the centralized logging system, specifically Grafana. The logs contain JWT tokens, which can be read by the attacker and used to authenticate as a Grafana user or to gain unauthorized access to the Loki REST API. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to system security and should be addressed promptly by applying the necessary patches.
