Summary
CVE-2023-36217 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Xoops CMS version 2.5.10. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by injecting malicious code into the category name field of the image manager function. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to execute arbitrary scripts in the context of the affected website, potentially leading to account takeovers, data theft, or unauthorized system access.
