Summary

CVE-2023-36109 is a newly disclosed buffer overflow vulnerability affecting JerryScript version 3.0. This issue resides in the ecma_stringbuilder_append_raw component located in /jerry-core/ecma/base/ecma-helpers-string.c. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability remotely to execute arbitrary code by overwriting a buffer during the append_raw function call. Successful exploitation could lead to serious consequences, including system compromise or data theft.
