Summary
CVE-2023-36006 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Microsoft's Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) OLE DB provider for SQL Server. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending specially crafted SQL queries to a target system, leading to arbitrary code execution on the victim's side. Successful exploitation may result in significant data loss or unauthorized system access. Users are advised to install the relevant Microsoft security updates as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
