Summary
CVE-2023-35955 is a serious vulnerability affecting GTKWave 3.3.115, where multiple heap-based buffer overflows have been identified in the fstReaderIterBlocks2 VCDATA parsing functionality. An attacker can exploit this issue by crafting a malicious .fst file, which, if opened by a victim, can lead to arbitrary code execution. The root cause of this vulnerability lies within the decompression function `LZ4_decompress_safe_partial`.
