Summary

CVE-2023-35951 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting libigl v2.4.0. The issue lies within the readOFF.cpp functionality, which is responsible for parsing geometric vertices of an OFF file. Multiple stack-based buffer overflows have been discovered in this component. A maliciously crafted .off file can exploit these vulnerabilities, leading to arbitrary code execution. Attackers can potentially use this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access or execute malicious commands on affected systems.
