Summary

CVE-2023-35867 is a newly disclosed vulnerability in Bosch BT software products. This issue arises due to the software's inadequate handling of malformed API answer packets. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by replacing an existing API server through Man-in-the-Middle attacks. Consequently, the system becomes susceptible to Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, disrupting normal service operation. Such attacks can potentially cause significant downtime and impact the availability of critical systems. Bosch is advised to apply the recommended patches to mitigate this risk.
