Summary

CVE-2023-35833 is a vulnerability affecting YSoft SAFEQ 6 Server versions prior to 6.0.82. When an administrator modifies the URL of the LDAP server configuration from LDAPS to LDAP, the system fails to require the password to be re-entered. This oversight exposes cleartext credentials when connecting to an unsecured LDAP server. The vendor initially classified this as a security issue, but later reconsidered due to the necessity of having admin access to change the configuration.
