Summary

CVE-2023-35796 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting all versions of SINEMA Server V14. The issue lies in the application's handling of SNMP configuration data from monitored devices. An attacker with access to a monitored device can exploit this weakness to carry out a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. Successful exploitation may grant the attacker the ability to execute arbitrary code with `SYSTEM` privileges on the application server. This vulnerability (ZDI-CAN-19823) highlights the importance of proper sanitization and validation of user-supplied data in network management applications.
