Summary

CVE-2023-35631 is a newly discovered Win32k Elevation of Privilege vulnerability. This issue allows an attacker to gain higher levels of access to a system, potentially leading to the compromise of sensitive data or the installation of malware. The vulnerability exists due to a flaw in the way Win32k handles certain Windows Graphics Driver Model (WGFM) operations. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires the attacker to be logged into the system, but does not require user interaction. Microsoft is actively working on a patch to address this issue, and users are encouraged to apply it as soon as it becomes available to protect against potential attacks.
