Summary

CVE-2023-35156 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the XWiki Platform. This wiki solution, used to build applications, allows users to inject malicious JavaScript code via specially crafted URLs. An attacker can exploit this issue by utilizing a delete template with a URL like "xwiki/bin/get/FlamingoThemes/Cerulean?xpage=xpart&vm=delete.vm&xredirect=javascript:alert(document.domain)". This vulnerability has existed since XWiki 6.0-rc-1, and was patched in versions 14.10.6 and 15.1. A partial fix was implemented in 14.10.5, but it did not completely address the issue.
