Summary

CVE-2023-3479 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability discovered in the GitHub repository hestiacp/hestiacp before version 1.7.8. Malicious actors could exploit this issue by injecting malicious scripts into web pages viewed by other users, potentially leading to data theft or unauthorized system actions. Successful exploitation required the attacker to craft a specially crafted URL that, when visited by an affected user, would execute the malicious code. Users are strongly urged to upgrade to the latest version of the hestiacp software to mitigate this risk.
