Summary

CVE-2023-34465: In versions prior to XWiki 14.4.8, 14.10.6, and 15.2 of the XWiki Platform, the `Mail.MailConfig` page can be edited by any logged-in user by default. This vulnerability allows users to change the mail obfuscation configuration and view and edit the mail sending configuration, including sensitive information such as SMTP domain names and credentials. This issue has been resolved in XWiki 15.1, but users can implement a workaround by manually updating the permissions of the `Mail.MailConfig` page to limit access to trusted users.
