Summary
CVE-2023-34460 is a vulnerability affecting the Tauri framework, version 1.4.0. This release introduces a regression in the Filesystem scope check for dotfiles on Unix systems. Previously, dotfiles were not implicitly allowed by the wildcard scopes, but a configuration option for this behavior was implemented, leading to the vulnerability. Only Tauri applications using wildcard scopes in the `fs` endpoint are susceptible. The issue has been addressed in version 1.4.1.
