Summary
CVE-2023-34457 is a vulnerability affecting MechanicalSoup, a Python library utilized for automating website interaction. Versions prior to 1.3.0 are susceptible to this issue. A malicious web server can manipulate `<input type="file">` elements within HTML forms to read arbitrary files on the client-side. This vulnerability potentially impacts all users of MechanicalSoup's form submission feature. A patch addressing this issue has been released in version 1.3.0.
