Summary

CVE-2023-34090 is a vulnerability affecting Decidim, a participatory democracy framework used by various organizations, including the Barcelona City government. The issue lies in the use of the Ransack library, which by default allows filtering on all data attributes and associations in Decidim's underlying databases. This weakness allows unauthenticated remote attackers to exfiltrate non-public data, such as user information, from Decidim instances. This vulnerability, which can result in sensitive data disclosure, was resolved in Decidim version 0.27.3.
