Summary

CVE-2023-34053 is a vulnerability affecting Spring Framework versions 6.0.0 to 6.0.13. If an application uses Spring MVC or Spring WebFlux, has io.micrometer:micrometer-core on its classpath, and is configured with an ObservationRegistry, it may experience a denial-of-service (DoS) condition due to specially crafted HTTP requests. Spring Boot applications typically require the org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-actuator dependency to meet these prerequisites. This issue allows attackers to cause service disruptions, making it essential for affected organizations to update their Spring Framework implementations promptly.
