Summary

CVE-2023-33876 is a use-after-free vulnerability affecting Foxit Reader 12.1.2.15332. Maliciously crafted PDF documents containing specially designed Javascript code can cause the software to reuse a previously freed object, leading to memory corruption and potential arbitrary code execution. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by tricking users into opening the malicious file or by creating a malicious website that can be accessed if the browser plugin extension is enabled.
