Summary

CVE-2023-33758 is a newly disclosed cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Splicecom Maximiser Soft PBX version 1.5 and earlier. The login component of the affected software containing this issue allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts into a victim's web browser through the CLIENT_NAME and DEVICE_GUID fields. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating these fields during a login attempt, potentially stealing sensitive user data or gaining unauthorized access to user accounts. To mitigate this risk, users should update to the latest version of Splicecom Maximiser Soft PBX or implement input validation techniques to prevent XSS attacks.
