Summary

CVE-2023-3372 is a vulnerability affecting the Lana Shortcodes plugin used in WordPress sites. Prior to version 1.2.0, this plugin fails to validate and properly escape shortcode attributes. An attacker who gains the contributor role or higher can exploit this flaw to inject malicious scripts into pages or posts where the vulnerable shortcode is embedded, resulting in Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. Users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
