Summary

CVE-2023-33019 is a Transient Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting WLAN Hosts. During Channel Switch Announcements (CSA), a mobile station may encounter an invalid channel in the CSA Information Element (IE), resulting in an unexpected response from the WLAN Host. This unexpected response can lead to a DoS condition, causing the WLAN Host to become unresponsive or otherwise impacted. This vulnerability could potentially be exploited by an attacker within range of the affected WLAN network to cause disruptions or interfere with network operations. It is recommended that affected organizations apply any available patches or updates to mitigate this risk.
