Summary

CVE-2023-33015 is a transient Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting certain WLAN firmwares. The issue arises when the firmware interprets the MBSSID Information Element (IE) of a received beacon frame. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows an attacker to cause the firmware to consume excessive resources, leading to a DoS condition. This can potentially disrupt network connectivity and cause service interruptions. It is recommended that affected organizations apply the relevant patches or updates to mitigate this vulnerability.
