Summary

CVE-2023-32278 is a path transversal vulnerability affecting some Intel(R) NUC Uniwill Service Drivers for Intel(R) NUC M15 Laptop Kits - LAPRC510 and LAPRC710. The issue lies within the installation software for Intel(R) NUC Software Studio before version 1.0.1.7. This vulnerability permits an authenticated user, through local access, the potential to escalate privileges. By manipulating the file path during the installation process, an attacker can gain elevated access to the system. This can result in significant security implications, as the attacker may be able to execute unauthorized commands or gain access to sensitive data. It is recommended that users update their Intel(R) NUC Software Studio installation software to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
