Summary

CVE-2023-3193 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Liferay Portal 7.4.3.70 to 7.4.3.73 and Liferay DXP 7.4 update 70 to 73. This issue lies in the Layout module's SEO configuration. An attacker can exploit this flaw by injecting arbitrary web scripts or HTML code through the `_com_liferay_layout_admin_web_portlet_GroupPagesPortlet_backURL` parameter, allowing them to conduct XSS attacks on unsuspecting users. Successful exploitation could result in unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities.
