Summary

CVE-2023-3169 is a vulnerability affecting the tagDiv Composer WordPress plugin before version 4.2, which is commonly used with the Newspaper and Newsmag themes from tagDiv. The issue lies in the plugin's failure to implement appropriate authorization and validation checks in a REST route. As a result, unauthenticated users can inject malicious code into the plugin, enabling Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This vulnerability could potentially lead to serious security breaches, such as data theft or site defacement, and users are urged to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate the risk.
