Summary

CVE-2023-3154 is a vulnerability affecting the WordPress Gallery Plugin before version 3.39. This issue stems from insufficient input validation in the `gallery_edit` function, which enables PHAR (Portable Handler Architecture) deserialization. An attacker can exploit this weakness to gain unauthorized access to arbitrary resources on the server. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it allows unauthenticated attackers to potentially execute malicious code and compromise the security of WordPress websites using the vulnerable plugin.
