Summary

CVE-2023-31446 is a vulnerability affecting the Cassia Gateway firmware XC1000_2.1.1.2303082218 and XC2000_2.1.1.2303090947. The issue lies in the lack of sanitization for the queueUrl parameter in the /bypass/config endpoint. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to inject Bash code, which gets executed with root privileges during device startup. This can potentially lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or even device takeover. Users are advised to update their firmware as soon as a patch is available to mitigate this risk.
