Summary

CVE-2023-31046 is a newly disclosed Path Traversal vulnerability affecting PaperCut NG versions before 22.1.1 and PaperCut MF before 22.1.1. An authenticated attacker can exploit this weakness by crafting specific requests, leading them to gain read-only access to the server's filesystem. The issue occurs due to how the getStaticContent method in UIContentResource.class within the static-content-files servlet handles certain file requests.
