Summary

CVE-2023-31019 is a vulnerability affecting the NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows. The issue resides in the wksServicePlugin.dll component, where the driver's access control is insufficient or incorrectly configured. An attacker can potentially exploit this vulnerability to impersonate a client in a secure context by connecting to the named pipe server. This weakness may allow the attacker to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information or perform unintended actions. It is recommended to update the affected driver as soon as a patch is released to mitigate this risk.
