Summary

CVE-2023-30646 is a critical heap out-of-bound write vulnerability that affects the BroadcastSmsConfig component of RIL (Radio Interface Layer) in devices prior to the SMR (Security Maintenance Release) Jul-2023 Release 1. This issue enables attackers to exploit the vulnerability and execute arbitrary code on the targeted device. The heap memory is incorrectly handled within this component, resulting in unintended data writing beyond its allocated boundary. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to significant security risks for users, including potential data theft, unauthorized access, and device takeover.
