Summary

CVE-2023-30645 is a critical heap out-of-bound write vulnerability affecting the IpcRxIncomingCBMsg function in RILD (Radio Implementation Layer for Linux) before the SMR (Security Maintenance Release) Jul-2023. An attacker can exploit this weakness to write arbitrary data beyond the allocated memory, potentially leading to code execution. This vulnerability poses a serious risk as it can enable attackers to gain unauthorized control over the affected system. Users are strongly advised to update their RILD installation as soon as the SMR Jul-2023 Release 1 becomes available to mitigate this vulnerability.
