Summary
CVE-2023-3036 is a vulnerability affecting the NTP server in the Cloudflare cfnts project before commit 783490b. An attacker could exploit this issue by sending an NTSAuthenticator packet with an extended length longer than the packet contents. This would trigger a panic response, potentially leading to denial-of-service or further exploitation. The vulnerability was addressed in the mentioned commit, and affected users are encouraged to update their systems promptly.
