Summary
CVE-2023-29414 is a newly identified vulnerability that allows for user privilege escalation. This issue is classified as a CWE-120: Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input (Classic Buffer Overflow) vulnerability. If a local user sends a crafted input string to a specific local function call, they can cause a buffer overflow, resulting in privilege escalation.
