Summary

CVE-2023-29351 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Windows Group Policy. Hackers can exploit this Elevation of Privilege (EoP) weakness to elevate their privileges, gaining unauthorized access to systems with Group Policy enabled. An attacker can craft a specially crafted Group Policy Object (GPO) to bypass security restrictions and execute code at a higher level, potentially leading to significant data theft or system compromise. This vulnerability poses a serious risk to organizations that rely on Group Policy for managing their IT environments. Microsoft has released a patch to address this issue, and it's recommended that all affected systems be updated as soon as possible.
