Summary

CVE-2023-29050 is a vulnerability affecting an optional LDAP contacts provider. Privileged users can exploit this issue by injecting LDAP filter strings, allowing access to content outside of the intended hierarchy. Unauthorized users may gain confidential information and cause high directory server load, resulting in denial of service. A new encoding feature has been implemented to safeguard user-provided fragments, but no known public exploits exist.
