Summary

CVE-2023-28583 is a memory corruption vulnerability affecting Netmgr daemon. When the IPv6 prefix timer object's lifetime expires during the acquisition of an IPv6 address, memory is not properly managed, leading to corruption. This issue could potentially be exploited by an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service condition. System administrators are advised to apply the associated patch or update to mitigate this vulnerability.
