Summary

CVE-2023-28579 is a newly disclosed memory corruption vulnerability affecting WLAN Host components. The issue arises when the WLAN Host fails to validate the input PMK (Pairwise Master Key) length during deserialization, leading to unintended memory manipulation. An attacker who successfully exploits this vulnerability can corrupt memory and potentially gain unauthorized access to the affected system.
