Summary

CVE-2023-28530 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1 and 11.2. The issue arises from the application's failure to properly validate SVG files in custom visualizations. A remote attacker can exploit this weakness by injecting malicious scripts into SVG files, which are then executed in the victim's web browser within the security context of the hosting website.
