Summary

CVE-2023-28393 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability discovered in Accusoft ImageGear 20.1's tif_processing_dng_channel_count functionality. A maliciously crafted file can cause memory corruption, leading to potential exploitation by an attacker. This issue allows an attacker to provoke memory corruption by providing a specially crafted file, potentially leading to code execution or other malicious activities. Users are advised to update their ImageGear installation as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
