Summary

CVE-2023-28023 is a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Software Distribution interface of BigFix WebUI version 44 and earlier. An attacker, who has already gained access to a user's session, can exploit this flaw to gain unauthorized access to files on server-side systems and potentially those connected in the network. The vulnerability poses a significant risk, allowing an attacker to bypass standard access controls and perform actions on behalf of an unsuspecting user. System administrators are advised to update their BigFix WebUI installation to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
