Summary

CVE-2023-27317 is a vulnerability affecting ONTAP 9 versions 9.12.1P8, 9.13.1P4, and 9.13.1P5. This issue allows all SAS-attached FIPS 140-2 drives to be unlocked following a system reboot, power cycle, or the reinsertion of a single SAS-attached FIPS 140-2 drive. An attacker with physical access to the unlocked drives can potentially gain access to sensitive information. This vulnerability poses a significant risk and requires immediate attention for affected systems.
