Summary
CVE-2023-27169 is a vulnerability affecting Xpand IT's Write-back manager version 2.3.1. The issue lies in the use of a hardcoded salt in license class configuration. As a result, symmetric encryption keys generated and validated by the system are predictable and hardcoded, posing a significant security risk. An attacker who gains access to this information could potentially decrypt and manipulate license data, leading to unauthorized system access or functionality disruption.
