Summary
CVE-2023-2709 is a vulnerability affecting the AN_GradeBook plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's failure to sanitize and escape certain settings, making it susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. Even when the unfiltered_html capability is disabled, high privilege users like admins can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts. This can lead to arbitrary code execution and potential data breaches on WordPress sites using the affected plugin version 5.0.1 or below.
