Summary

CVE-2023-26965 is a vulnerability affecting LibTIFF's tools/tiffcrop.c module through version 4.5.0. An attacker can exploit this issue by providing a specially crafted TIFF image to trigger a heap-based use-after-free condition in the loadImage() function. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution or denial of service, posing a significant risk to systems using the affected LibTIFF software.
