Summary

CVE-2023-26448 is a vulnerability that arises from the use of unchecked custom log-in and log-out locations defined as jslob. Malicious protocol handlers in these locations can lead to the execution of malicious script code within the victim's context. The consequences of this vulnerability can range from session hijacking to triggering unwanted actions via the web interface and API. An attacker would need temporary access to a user's account or persuade a user to visit a compromised account to exploit this vulnerability. To mitigate this risk, jslob content for log-in and log-out locations is now being sanitized to prevent redirection to malicious content. No publicly available exploits have been reported as of now.
